MUSIC: AC Crowley / ANIMATION: M. Ramirez

Lemon Lime is a collaboration between sonic and visual loops, connecting inside the body. The short wordless film follows a nameless agender character through their physical and emotional growth following an interaction at the beginning of the film, where they feel misunderstood and unable to speak their truth in a conversation. We see a response bubbling up, but they ultimately swallow the speech bubble, and we watch as we are guided through the body, viewing the shapes of emotions that live inside. Rumination through a looping pedal and palimpsest are utilized to underscore the emotional processing of the character. A collaboration between both a nonbinary musician and animator, we give shape to the feelings of mistaken identity and the overwhelming experience of being unknowable.
